Western Phantoms

State League

The first round of state league is next weekend, Saturday the 2nd of April. As we still do not have a division 2 draw, all players need to make the assumption that they are playing on that day. At this stage our Premier men and Reserves women are also playing that day. Can all players across all squads please be prepared to play that weekend. It will be in Melbourne if we do play. If you are unavailable on Saturday the 2nd, please email our coaching staff or president Matt Gordon so our coaches can prepare teams.

This is certainly not the ideal preparation and we understand this makes it hard to plan your year around the state league competition. The release of the draw is always an issue and it is completely out of our hands. We are expecting it to be released today. As soon as we get it, we will forward it onto you. Once we have the draw we will release the teams for round 1

Supporters are encouraged to get along and support our local team.

We are still in discussions with VVI regarding draws. We will circulate information as soon as we can through our Facebook page, email and our website (coming soon).
The VVL season is 14 rounds and runs from March till September. Our proposed structure will involve 7 rounds, playing double header matches.
- Bendigo home rounds X2 (4 games)
- Ballarat home rounds X2 (4 games)
- Melbourne away rounds X3 (6 games)
Each home round will consist of 2 Saturday matches with the opportunity to hold a club function or team bonding activity Saturday night, to be followed with a Sunday morning training session.

We also send our squads to the following regional volleyball tournaments. These are a great opportunity to support the associations, which feed players directly into our club. Not to mention playing high level volleyball and creating stronger friendships with fellow team mates.
Warrnambool - March 12,13,14
Ballarat – April 23,24
Bendigo – October 29,30
Horsham – November 12,13
